Dear Assembly Members,
I have recently received requests for information regarding the upcoming 2011 AIDA Depth World Championships to be organized in Kalamata, Greece in September 15th – 25th 2011.
One of the main issues was the maximum number of athletes each AIDA National can send and the performance requirements.
On this matter I would like to inform you that there will be no performance limitations set by the organization on the selection of Athletes for the 2011 AIDA Individual Depth World Championships. The only limitation we have is the maximum number of athletes we can accommodate at the hotel and with our open water setup. This number for our setup in Kalamata is a total of 150 athletes.
With the expected number of countries attending this roughly corresponds to around 6 athletes from each county per discipline plus the wild cards. Also consider that if one country does not use up all their quoted athletes places these places will be available to the other AIDA Nationals.
In order for every AIDA National to get the benefits of this I would be grateful if every AIDA National would contact me as soon as the information is available and inform me of their intent to take part in the 2011 AIDA Depth World Championships and provide an approximate number of athletes they expect to send to the event.

This is a temporary information website to provide all necessary information such as preliminary schedule, costs, accommodation and travel, so that athletes and AIDA Nationals can start their preparations. A full Flash website with greater content is currently being constructed and will be uploaded before Christmas.
